So finally, Helsinki had its taste of Game of Thrones this past week as the show’s promotional tour landed here for an exhibition from 13 April to 17th April 2016 at Kamppi Centre. The famed Iron Throne of Westeros was on display, as were the on set costumes of Arya, Jaqen H’ghar and The Waif. Visitors could even pose with Needle, Arya’s Bravoosi sword. I visited with a couple of my friends Marius and Augusti, and we did pose for pictures so that our faces could be added to the Wall, quite literally. It was a cool application the HBO guys had come up with. Projecting the Hall of Faces on to the exhibition hall’s walls and then placing the visitors faces onto empty spaces in the walls. One could also look in to the well of the house of Black and White and read some old dialogues from past seasons inside. The setting was quite cool and the experience was surreal. Thanks Game of Thrones and HBO for bringing this to Helsinki. They even emailed the picture and the corresponding generated video to all the participants who had posed for it. Here is mine. Surely, one way or the other a new face shall be added the the Hall. GOT Season 6, get hype.
